I can't really describe how amazing this is.
I am a person who an awful lot of nice things have happened to. My life has been filled with some pretty awesome surprises. If I had to list them, the list would be very long, but the following thing would certainly be near the top:

This is a monster made by the incomparable Michele Chidester, ([info]drogochideseter) ( http://michelechidester.com ), who is probably the most fantastic crafter I've ever known, and is also supremely nice, as is exhibited by the fact that after making this amazing fellow she gave him to me and he is now hanging with me nightly on my futon.

He is based on a little watercolor I did awhile back.

Not only did she capture the original picture amazingly, but she made it 10X better by making his robes removable, revealing the horrors within!!!

Here he is fully in the nude, revealing plump thighs and a poochy chest in addition to his gaping maw (plus, you can stick your arm way, way down his throat!!!)

In the watercolor I did, he was selling rats and smoking Marlboros. We haven't gotten any rats yet, but I did find some candy cigarettes called King Lion. Here's me and him chillin' with our chocolate smokes. We're both looking mighty cool. I'm looking pretty greasy, but actually that's a lot less greasy than I usually am.

You will notice that he is huge. He also feels super great because Michele put chicken wire in him or something, so he's really solid.

A pensive shot.

I think Michele has gotten over being amused and has started to feel distressed at how much I like his butt. It's giant and firm with two round, fat cheeks.

Here I get a little overexcited.

...And he gets a little over excited too.

Bye bye now!

The pensive one looks like a publicity shot for if you two were in a band together ...

I'm hoping that someow she'll use that one as a bookjacket photo. But I'm sure that the person in charge of making books will insist on a regular shot.

Wow, I really love his beard. This is one of my favourite illustrations of yours, so it's neat to see it in a new form.

Holy Roly Poly! That is awesome for the obvious reasons (the detail!) but also because that is, for some unexplainable reason, one of my all time favorite drawings of yours!

I've had that paticular rat-catching, chain smoking monster as my desktop at home for about a year now. Everytime I go to change it to something else I always look at it again carefully and just leave it there.

Wow, is it soft and mushy or more structured like a doll? I find him very austere in the picture, but he is quite an approachable gentleman in the 3-D.
